Our Pastor: Wayne Grissom
Pastor Grissom grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, near Dallas. He was raised by his parents who were hard working, teaching their children the value of hard work, however, they did not attend church.
At the age of 23, Wayne Grissom realised his need for Christ after a co-worker shared the gospel of Jesus Christ during an in home Bible study. On June 13, 1988, Wayne trusted Christ as his personal Saviour, followed the Lord in believers baptism the following Sunday.
Immediately, changes began to take place in his heart and life. Just a few short years later, Brother Grissom would surrender to the call to preach. Understanding a call to preach required much preparation he would seek to further his Bible knowledge and studies at Hyles-Anderson College where he obtained a BS Theology Degree. Wayne is continuing his studies to complete his Masters Degree in Biblical Counselling through Beth Haven Baptist Seminary.
Pastor Grissom has a wonderful wife, Linda, and two children, Garrett (24) and Andrew (21).
After reaching a few men for Christ in Plymouth, the Lord burdened his heart for a church plant in Roborough located north of Plymouth in Devon, England.
He has a strong desire to continue to reach Plymouth with the "glorious gospel" of Jesus Christ.
On Thursday nights, they have Bible studies at the Quaker House located in Mutley Plain.
